Is Google Making Us Stupid
In Nicholas Carr's essay " Is Google Making US stupid?" he mentions, "...a recently published study of online research habits, conducted by scholars from University College London, suggest that we nay well be in the midst of a sea change in the way we read and think"(2). By this, Carr means nowadys if people want to know the infoemation, they will reasrch using a technology and really learn about it. However, this is not good for them because it has taken away our thinking. Therefore, people will get better if thay change their reading, thinking, and those habits. It seems that now pople are likely to think horizontally instead of vertically, which means they do not think about the subject deeply. Futhermore, most people do not have to memorize the imfomation because they can resarch using a technology over and over.
