Carr's claim
In the section that my group was given from the article "Is Google Making Us Stupid?" Carr makes this claim: "we inevitable begin to take on the qualities of the technology". The evidence or support that he uses to back it up is the mechanical clock. He says that since the clock came into common use people are dictated and act like the clock. People don't eat when they feel hungry or go to sleep when they are sleepy instead the sleep when its time to go to bed and rise when it's time to get up not when they just feel like it. People created the clock but than, we also become like the clock so that everything we do is controlled by time. Carr is suggesting that the same thing is happening with internet, people created it and now we are starting to think and process the way technology is working.
