McDonalds fishing

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oMAx_JNMR_w&feature=related
This is a McDonald’s commercial about a wife dropping of a man to go fishing. In the beginning he forgets his hat in the car and his wife throws it out of the window instead of taking the time to back of and hand him the hat. He appears to be very unhappy with his wife and there for needs an escape. That escape is that he has McDonald’s for lunch. But when he sets it on the dock a large fish comes and eats the food and even part of the dock. This is showing that the food is so good that every one and thing cant resist eating it. So the next day he sets his wife on the dock and gives her the food hoping the fish will eat her too. This video is telling us that we can not be happy with out McDonalds. It will make our down days better and if we have a problem in our life McDonalds will solve it. Even the music in this video correlates to the mood of the man during his days. In the beginning the man is down and depress and the music represents that, but in the end the music is happier, as if getting rid of the man’s wife has made his life better. I think there is also an underlying message in this video that fits the U.S. more and more every year. This is the idea that if your marriage is not going to the way you thought it would or if it’s rocky, just bails out how ever you can. By getting the fish to eat his wife, this man is just getting out of an unhappy relationship. This video has done a great job of making a relatable story for anyone, just because of our anation’s consistency with divorce and looking for the easy way out. This video will also make people think of McDonalds every time they go fishing which will in turn sell more food.
