Is Google Making Us Stupid?

In Nicholas Carr's recent article, "Is Goole Making us Stupid" he states and explains a claim in his work about Google and the general net and web surfing, stating that, "The net is becoming a universal medium (par. 4)." He believes that the net is remapping the neural circuitry and reprogramming the memory of the brain. Because getting information from the web is much more easier than reading through a book, people are starting to use the net more and more and the effect of it is that they are losing their capacity for concentration and contemplation which he explains in his article. The web is making you skip through your reading and lose focus, making it harder to read books or certain pages for long periods of time and changing the way we think.
