Commercial Blog

In a Budweiser commercial it starts with the Clydesdale horses trotting from the snowy plains of a farm and into a barn where they are then harnessed into the famous Budweiser carriage. There is very low music as if a tragedy had just occurred. As the six iconic horses gallop out of the barn they go through snow and through streets. They cross what appears to be the Brooklyn bridge and come to a stop where they can see New York city. In the background the Statue of Liberty staggers and the music begins to raise as the horses take a bow for the citizens of New York City. You don't have to be twenty one years old to be able to recognize the brand of Budweiser or the famous Clydesdale's which reinforces this message so well. This commercial I believe has a very big underline message in the fact that it is about a very hard time Americans faced as a nation and we were all in it together. Budweiser is using what some people call an American icon being the Budweiser Clydesdale's and the Statue of Liberty, showing that everyone will bond together to get through the event that happened on September 11, 2001. They show things that make our nation nationally known by showing the Statue of Liberty and are presenting it in a matter that we are all strong and can get through anything as long as we all pull together. The Clydesdale's are bowing in respect to New York and the people in it and America as a whole. Bringing home the idea that our Nation is strong, that things like these events are set backs but nothing can destroy us.
