My name is Alex, I'm 19 years old. This is my second quater at whatcom. I enjoy playing music, I play the bass guitar and acoustic guitar. I also enjoy snowboarding and playing video games. I've been playing music for about 7 years now and I've been in a couple bands here and there, nothing too serious. I've been snowboarding for about 8 years now and wish I had more money to keep going. I've been working at Tino's Pizza and Pasta Co. for almost three years. I dishwash, cook, host, and soon enough going to be a delivery driver. It's the only pizza place in Sudden Valley, where I grew up. I drive an '98 Audi A4 1.8T Quattro that currently has an oil leak problem. But other than that it's a great car.

Music is a big part of my life. Playing music is very enjoyable, but writing music can get complicated and frustrating at times. It's very easy to start writing a song, with lyrics or a guitar riff that sound good. But the hardest part is finishing the song, finding a complete way to end it. You could think of it like an essay, you have an idea for a topic, you know what your main points are going to be, but you don't know how to put it all together in the right order where it's going to make the most sense. I often have difficulty with completing written songs. But it's always fun to try.
